American Military University conducted a pilot study titled “Venous Gas Emboli (VGE) Variability after Saturating” in Jules’ Underseas Lodge in January 2024.

MRDF has hosted numerous studies in Jules’ Undersea Lodge, an underwater habitat located in its lagoon on Key Largo.

In 2023, Dr. Joseph Dituri spent 100 days at depth during Project Neptune, monitoring his own physiological reactions to staying so long at higher pressure than found on the surface.

Ongoing surveys and monitoring of three seagrass locations has been conducted for several years thanks to a grant from the Disney Conservation Fund.
