Marine Science offers many types of jobs and excitement. Captain Craig McLean has been a working diver, research vessel captain, dived to the Titanic and the USS Monitor, flown through hurricanes, and spent many hours on, and under the sea. He was the first director of NOAA's Ocean Exploration program, and retired from NOAA last year after over 40 years both in uniform and as a senior executive for the agency. There are many jobs in marine science and he has had most of them.
