Dr. Alex Brylske of Ocean Education International will be speaking on creating an environmental mindset in SCUBA students. Scuba diving can be a superb means to create environmental advocates for ocean conservation. However, in many cases this is a missed opportunity when divers fail to make a meaningful connection with the ocean. This discussion will explain how this disconnect happens and, more importantly, how all divers can be inspired to become "stewards of the sea."
